Customer

The customer agrees to comply with these terms and conditions, as well as any
merchant-specific terms, when purchasing products and services from Sportbalance
Oy’s online store.


General Terms and Conditions
The prices displayed on the online service include value-added tax.
We sell products only to adult individuals and business customers.
We reserve the right to change prices.
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
We reserve the right to change our delivery terms. The customer must review the
currently valid delivery terms before placing an order.’


Reservation Terms
These terms apply to products and services available for rental or reservation.
The customer is responsible for reviewing the description and instructions for the
product or service being reserved, as well as the terms and conditions related to the
reservation.
A reservation made by the customer is binding once the order/payment confirmation
has been sent to the email address provided by the customer.
The customer pays for the reservation using the payment method of their choice, in
accordance with the terms and conditions of that payment method.
The reservation system sends the order/payment confirmation to the email address
provided by the customer.
The Merchant is not responsible for a failed reservation; instead, the customer must
contact the Merchant immediately to resolve the situation. The Merchant does not
guarantee that the product or service is still available in this situation.
If a product or service is no longer available, a refund will be issued or, if possible, an
alternative product or date will be offered.


Cancellations and Changes
The cancellation date is the date on which the Merchant receives notification of the
cancellation.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the cancellation is sent in a timely
manner via email to info@sportbalance.fi .
If the customer cancels their reservation, when there are 14 days or more until the start
of the reservation, the cancellation is free of charge. When there are less than 14 days
but at least 7 days until the start of the reservation, 30% of the price of the product or
service will be charged.
If there are fewer than 7 days but more than 3 days until the start of the reservation,
50% of the price of the product or service will be charged.
If there are 3 days or fewer until the start of the reservation, the full amount will be
charged.


Merchant’s Right to Cancel a Reservation
In the event of force majeure, the Merchant may terminate the rental or service
agreement. The customer who has rented the product or service will be notified of the
termination without delay.
In such cases, the customer is entitled to a full refund of the rental or service fee paid.
Any expenses incurred by the customer due to a rental agreement terminated for
reasons of force majeure will not be reimbursed.


Payment Confirmation
The payment confirmation will include instructions for the customer regarding bicycle
pickup and return.


Special Terms and Conditions
The customer must familiarize themselves with the safety and operating instructions
for the bicycles and equipment. The equipment must be used with care and only for its
intended, normal purpose. The renter agrees to conduct a safety inspection at the
beginning of the rental period. No modifications may be made to the rental bicycles, nor
may any parts be removed. The rental equipment may not be taken out of the country or
sublet. The rental equipment may only be used to the extent permitted by these terms
and conditions and only at locations suitable for the user’s skill level and expertise. The
customer uses all equipment and accessories at their own risk at all times.
The customer must return the bicycles immediately upon the end of the rental period to
the agreed location, cleaned and in the same condition as when they were handed over
for rental. The renter must notify the lessor without delay if the return is delayed. The
lessor has the right to charge a 50% surcharge on the rental fee for the period of delay,
unless otherwise specifically agreed.
The customer is obligated to compensate for any damage and costs incurred during the
rental period due to careless or improper handling and inadequate maintenance of the
rental equipment. The customer is obligated to compensate for any equipment
destroyed or lost during the rental period up to its replacement value. The customer is
responsible for complying with transportation, safety, and other regulations. The
customer is obligated to immediately notify the lessor of any defects in the equipment.
The customer is obligated to compensate for any damage to or costs incurred due to
careless or improper handling and inadequate maintenance of the rental equipment
during the rental period. The customer is obligated to compensate for any equipment
destroyed or lost during the rental period up to its replacement value. The customer is
responsible for complying with transportation, safety, and other regulations. The
customer is obligated to immediately notify the lessor of any defects in the equipment.
The lessor is responsible for repairs resulting from normal wear and tear of the
equipment. The lessor is not liable for any indirect or direct costs or damages that may
be incurred by the lessee due to the use or breakdown of the equipment. The lessor is
not obligated to provide a new device to replace a broken rental item, nor is the lessor
liable for any indirect or direct costs resulting from an interruption in the rental period.
In the event of theft during the rental period, the lessee must file a police report.
The rental equipment is the property of Sportbalance Oy. The rental equipment may
also be leased from other providers. These terms and conditions also apply to
equipment from other providers.


Compensation for Damages
The customer is obligated to compensate the Merchant for any damage they have
caused to the property. The renter is also responsible for other person visiting the
property and for any damage they cause during the rental period.
The Merchant shall not compensate the Customer for any inconvenience or expenses
that may arise from natural conditions, such as insects, animals, thawing ground, or
unexpected weather changes.


Complaints
Any complaints must always be filed as soon as possible after the issue arises.
If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached or if the matter involves a claim for
compensation, the complaint must be submitted in writing within one month of the end
of the rental period.
The merchant will endeavor to process the complaint as quickly as possible, but no
later than within one month.
If the customer and the merchant cannot reach an agreement, the customer may refer
the dispute to the Consumer Complaints Board for resolution.


Terms of Delivery and Formation of the Agreement
A binding contract for the sale takes effect when the order is confirmed (order
confirmation/payment confirmation).
The order confirmation/payment confirmation will be sent to the customer via email.


Cancellation and Returns

Product Warranty
We adhere to the warranty terms specified by the manufacturer or importer.


Payment Terms
The merchant uses reliable and secure payment processors for its services.
The customer agrees to comply with the terms and conditions of the payment method
they have selected.
If the payment transaction is not successfully completed at the time of ordering, the
Merchant will not process the order.
